Champaign—News Gazette. "Illinois Ancestors," by Joan Griffis. Published weekly on Thursday, it is directed to any Illinois reader, but principally in the central counties.

Danville—Commercial News. "Illinois Ancestors," by Joan Griffis. Published weekly in the Sunday edition and is relevant to readers in east-central Illinois and west-central Indiana.

Cuyahoga County—Sun Newspapers. "Let's Talk Genealogy" by Diana Crisman Smith appeared twice a month in all editions of the weekly suburban Cleveland newspaper from 2001-2003. The articles focused on tips and techniques for family research at all skill levels, reviews of helpful resources (both new and established), and announcement of upcoming genealogical events at the local, state and national level.

Lawton—Lawton Constitution. "Tree Tracers" by Aulena Scearce Gibson, published every Saturday, since September 1979. Queries accepted, but must have a southwest Oklahoma connection.

Victoria—The Victoria Advocate. "Relatively Speaking," by Martha E. Jones, Ph.D., is published each Sunday and is online. Click on "Columns," then "Relatively Speaking" link. North Bay—Near North Senior by Tammy Tipler-Priolo . Monthly genealogy articles as well as 2-3 local biographies. Tammy also writes monthly genealogy articles for The Gateway Advertiser in North Bay Ontario Canada
