It doesn’t matter when it was published or how it is being sold; if it’s still available for sale, you are an ISFHWE member in good standing, and you are the author, editor, or publisher, it is eligible.
The Member Publication Promotion Project has showcased dozens of ISFHWE member authors, editors, and publishers at the National Genealogical Society and Federation of Genealogical Societies annual conferences. The authors provide books for display in the ISFHWE booth during the conference, which are then donated to a genealogical repository after the event. The books are identified with the name of the donor and ISFHWE.
Authors attending the conference are encouraged to work the ISFHWE booth so they may have the opportunity to discuss their books with attendees. This has been successful for several authors in the past to create demand for their books. Meet the Author sessions can be scheduled in the ISFHWE booth; this allows those who have purchased the book already to stop by for an autograph; those who have not yet purchased can stop by to ask questions and discuss content. Either way, it introduces you to everyone passing by.
A donor may submit up to three (3) books for inclusion in the ISFHWE Member Publication Promotion Project. The contributor must be listed as an author, editor, or publisher of the book and be an active member of ISFHWE.
If entering more than one book, please complete a separate submission for for each.
For more detailed information, please see How It Works.
The entry fee is the price of the book for the first conference, plus half the price for the second conference in the same year for the same book. A book is donated by the member for each conference.
