Welcome to ISFHWE

ISFHWE's primary goal is to encourage excellence in writing and editorial standards in genealogical publishing. This embraces all media, including newspapers, magazines, newsletters, professional journals, books (including compiled family histories), online columns, society and personal Web sites, Web logs (blogs), and broadcast journalism of all sorts.

Columns Columns, the ISFHWE quarterly newsletter, offering information about genealogical events, tips for improving your writing skills, column ideas, and product reviews. It provides an open forum for members to discuss issues of mutual interests. It features articles by journalists, columnists, editors, and other writers, with many useful tips and ideas. Members are encouraged to submit materials for inclusion in the newsletter. Institutions, societies and agencies are invited to subscribe to the newsletter. The quarterly issue is provided to all members and subscribers. Columns is now available in Portable Document Format (.pdf). Download a copy of the Sept 2010 issue.
